Pentagon Identifies Three US Soldiers Killed in Jordan Drone Attack

In a heartbreaking incident, three US soldiers lost their lives in a drone attack on a Jordanian military outpost. The fallen heroes were identified as Sgt. William Rivers, 46; Specialist Kennedy Sanders, 24; and Specialist Breonna Moffett, 23. All served in the 718th Engineer Company, based in Georgia.

Over 40 individuals were injured, and eight were airlifted to Germany for medical care. During a recent briefing, Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh provided insights into the incident, emphasizing the tragic loss. The drone attack targeted Tower 22, causing uncertainty and leading to a delayed US response. This event is part of a series, with 165 incidents since October 17, amplifying concerns about a wider conflict in the Middle East.

US officials suspect Iran-backed militia involvement, specifically pointing to Kataib Hezbollah. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin expressed outrage, vowing to defend US forces. The tragedy underscores the ongoing challenges faced in the volatile Middle East.
